In this life, you endure so many flavors and many climates. From bitter to sweet, cold windy chills to warm steamy afternoons. But regardless just as the world continues to turn and the clock continues to tick, life continues to flow. Folks will talk high and low of you. Of what you do and don’t do, but you must reach that platform when you simply don’t care and become totally people free. The old saying sticks and stone can break my bones but words can never hurt me is a myth. Contrary to that cliché, words can permeate your very soul and can wound you to the core. But when you reach the stage of true resilience and care none at all Shuga, life becomes so exhilarating and like my dear brother says, “liberated baby”. A sweet friend of mine shared this song and the lyrics just rumbled a marathon of truth and awareness to me. “Some Kind of Way” by Jidenna is indeed a song truth and testament of living “your” life with no guidelines from others. So celebrate your uniqueness, your eclecticism and your perfect imperfections. Dance through your office prior to work day or dance through your entire house alone. Have a party with yourself, just because there is simply one you and no matter how they hate, attempt to replicate you or question, you let em kick rocks and love the “you” that you are.
Love & Blessings to you, you, you and you, Monique “1MOpoeticSOUL” D.
Take a listen and lubricate your ears with this tune.
Peace & Grace Beautiful Ones…
So in the midst of my morning routine I got to thinking how we must train our minds to follow protocol to that which is necessary to our mind, body and spirit. Just as wee ones, little children we are programmed that in the morning you wash up, brush your teeth, have your breakfast and thus your day begins… Then you have night time routine of finish your chores, do your homework and say your prayers and off the sleepville you go. It is important that we maintain these same principles in the continual cycle of adulthood. Only difference is, you must customize the practices you apply and do it like clockwork that it had to be done in order for you to accurately and successfully flow with your day.
With an array of schedules and to do task that build by the second we sometimes get off track or skip a beat. But what I have found to be the balance is when you lock into that routine it sets the pace and tone of your mental and emotional reaction to the occurrences of your day as they play out of life’s big screen. Soooooooooo I encourage you to strategize an active prayer life, rather you get on your knees, or pray in bed, or scripts prayers at night in a prayer journal or simply just roam around your house having an open conversation with GOD like you are speaking to a homegirl or homeboy. Map out some quiet time just to soak up the essence of sweet solitude. Meditate and rest your body and still your mind. For most this is a tedium task as we are on go mode so much we neglect to just rest. Still your mind and shut the power off and let all thoughts slowly run out and through your fingers, freeing you of worry, deadlines, to-do’s and etc. Listen to your breath and feel your heart beat. Now smile and thank GOD for that right there, that’s life and he is blowing your being with “life.” Now as you continue breathing any morsel of worry blow it out as if you are blowing out a fire quietly. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… Take some time to sip on some tea and let the healing herbs lubricate you. Listen to your favorite record or cd and dance freely and live in that moment. This is becoming one with self, enjoying self and loving self…
Upon customizing your routine, begin to do it daily and don’t beat yourself up if you skip a beat, it has to be learned before mastered. Also just as you pray and prepare yourself to start your day and step outside your home, just as you wash your hands before breaking bread, keep your mind and spirit cleansed to be in tune and to flow consciously and intuitively. In every simple task is a lesson, just embrace the blessing of truly innerstanding the grand concept and lesson that is being taught.
Love & Blessings to you, you, you and you. Monique “1MOpoeticSOUL” D.
Peace & Grace My Lovely and Beautiful Shugas….
I’m incredibly thankful, “just because” When one expressing this particular sentiment, “I’m thankful or I’m grateful”. You can fill in so many blanks you would begin to flip your paper over, and to the next sheet, and to the next sheet and so on and so forth. But there’s soooooooooooooo much we must be thankful for and not attempt to count them, but to simply acknowledge them. No matter how we act, what we do the Most High and Loving God continues to give us two blessings when we awake, “two eyes”. Then blows some sweet breath in this shell of body we have and the list begins to matriculate from there.
But on yesterday evening I was on my way home. Because I live in the south, it is not uncommon to travel long roads filled with fields of all sorts. I believe these fields were corns, forgive my memory, but I notice this incredibly tall sprinkler spreading long streams of fertilizer that I know the distance covered each corn stalk. I got to thinking what if each of us were a cornstalk, metaphorically speaking and no matter how far away our positon may be in visual sight each stalk got a portion of the mist that was vital to its growth. Some may perhaps been saturated while some got a few drops, but regardless none were eliminated. I thought perhaps some stalks are stronger than others and don’t require the same amount. With this same concept being applied, we are sprinkled with the Divine dew drops from our maker every day. We all receive different sizes, styles and types of blessings according to what, when and how we need it. So my lovely Shugas, give thanks for the Divine dew that mist upon you with your blessed self.
Love & surely nothing but blessings to you, you, you and you. Monique “1MOpoeticSOUL” D.goo
Peace & Grace to you My Beautiful & Lovely Ones….
Drama class and big top tents hosting circus acts are not the only venues of many faces. Happy faces, sad faces, confused faces, angry faces, blah faces, and well you get the picture… I got to thinking about your circles of friends and family. Me, myself, I am forever fine tuning my circle and seems like the older I get, the smaller my circle becomes. But my wisdom makes my circle more tightly intricate woven with each stitch and purpose in my life. And through the years or as the world has and will forever continue to turn the many faces that folks show to you and reveal more clearly who they truly are becomes quite evident. I got to thinking about the mirrors in the circus fun houses. As a child it’s fun and entertaining but as an adult the irony of those same mirrors are the perplex spirits of those folks elude through the shapes, sizes and images just as that mirror, irregular not unique. As you stroll along this big tent of life that walk can be filled with side show oddities, attractions of life altering abilities and talents. Be aware though of the clowns and costume attraction. Smiles are not always those that are sincere and with greetings and the costumes hide the truth temporary. Stay in tune and fine tune your circles and environments in which you mingle. Love & Blessings to you, you, you and you. Monique “1MOpoeticSoul” D.
Peace & Grace My Lovely & Beautiful Ones…
So, there has been a scriptCATION because I haven’t been able to blog lately, but trust me on lovely ones, the delay is always worth it. Much has occurred since my last post, but here I am still yet grateful and thankful for life’s blessings and miraculous move on my behalf and for others around me. We sometimes must conduct self-analysis our own selves and check ourselves. Just because there are familiar situations you may have experienced and aspects you feel you have experience with does not necessarily make you a master. It tags you as experienced. But the true wise one will take each experience and learn something greater and deeper each time. Redemption is a common aspect, tem even that we are knowledgeable of, BUT Shuga until you truly go through the treacherous trails and dark routes and shaky bridges that this life sometimes presents, you truly “inner”stand the full definitive of being redeemed and redemption. It can be sweet and rewarding at the end, but the process like any other tedium journey present obstacles, test of faith and the structure and strength of your character, but oh my goodness gracious, the priceless and astounding plethora of joy when you overcome what could have broke you and stand tall looking at the valleys you crawled from, I am telling you, “Shuga”, you have matriculate to greater and grander. And so the lessons continue and learn, yield and ingest you must. Love & Blessings to you, you, you and you. Monique “1MOpoeticSOUL” D.
